Almost 30 skiff boats of different classes met on Saturday morning at beautiful Lac de Joux. From the Musto fleet, there were FRA 604 (Juliette Tronquet) and SUI 308 (Oliver Jeker) at the start. The atmosphere was great and racing began timely in the early afternoon. However, due to light winds form various directions sailing turned out challenging, even for the more accomplished participants. It was therefore no surprise that only two courses were sailed this day. Nevertheless, spirits remained high in the evening, not least because of the delicious raclette dinner.
Sunday started with splendid sunshine, but sailors once more needed to be patient with the wind. Around noon, a steady northeasterly breeze finally built up and four courses could be sailed in good conditions.
Overall, Nicolas Monnet (RS 100) was the winner of the race, followed by Benedikt Koll (VX Evo) and the team Mateo Bertschy / Robin Imbert (29er). Best Musto Skiff sailor of the weekend was Juliette Tronquet with an excellent 9th place.
We thank the Club Nautique de la Vall?e de Joux for the fantastic hospitality.
